A new flavor of the popular Unified Remote application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 2.8.1, packing a series of fixes and enhancements.

The new application release fixes the force close issue that emerged in the previous app version, and also resolves an issue with widget preview crash in launcher. Furthermore, the release notes of the application unveil that the new release adds server selection in widget/URI builder.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the application enables users to turn their handsets into remote controls for their computers.

“Easily the most feature-filled Android-PC remote. Turns your Android device into a WiFi or Bluetooth universal remote control for your Windows PC. Control your favorite programs, mouse, and keyboard,” the app’s description reads.
