The folks over at UCWeb kicked off the private testing process for UC Browser 9.6 for Android devices in late January and promised lots of new features and improvements.

Today, the Chinese developer released the final version of the application, which includes some of the features that were tested during the trial.

First of all, UCWeb confirmed this version of UC Browser has been especially created with high-performance in mind. The application is now also aimed at high-end Android smartphones, as developers have activated Hardware Acceleration to make scrolling and sliding much smoother.

In addition, the start up of the browser is now much faster and there's a new Download Menu, cleaner and more user friendly.

Last but not least, this version of UC Browser features increased page preloading speed for even better overall browsing experience.

You can now download UC Browser for Android 9.6 for free via UCWeb's site. Keep in mind the application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.1 and up.
