UC Browser, one of the most popular mobile browsers out there, has just received an update on devices running under Google’s Android operating system and is available for download as version 9.7.

The new application iteration arrives on devices after a series of beta builds and is meant to provide users with sleeker, smoother, smarter browsing.

Following the update, the new UC Browser version will provide users with a brand-new user interface, which has been redesigned with sleeker looks, for an improved overall experience.

On top of that, the updated browser provides users with faster access to Incognito Browsing, which can now be activated straight from the tabs bar.

The new browser version also sports better zooming capabilities than before. According to UCWeb, the company behind the application, users can now zoom in and out on all types of webpages, including WAP pages.

Image loading has also been improved in the latest release. UC Browser can deliver faster navigation capabilities now, courtesy of automatic loading of images in a quality most suitable for users’ connection.

The gesture control has been improved as well in the new release, now providing users with the possibility to easily switch gestures on and off, as needed.

The same as before, UC Browser for Android will continue to provide users with fast-browsing capabilities. The app includes a Speed Mode that will fetch the most suitable version of a web page based on the type of connection one has.

There is also Smart Downloading included in the browser, with features such as multi-task, background, and cloud downloading with auto reconnection.

In addition to the aforementioned Incognito Browsing that allows users to navigate web pages privately, the mobile app also comes with support for add-ons, which will result in an enhanced and more personal browsing experience.

Further customizations are available through a series of themes supported in the application, which can be accessed through the UC Theme Center. One can also use one’s own pictures to personalize the application.

Other features of the mobile browser include a Night Mode for better reading when in the dark, along with Auto Pager, which has been designed to create a seamless reading experience through automatically loading the next page when the user reaches the end of the current page.

UC Browser for Android also comes with Cloud Syncing capabilities, so that users could easily access their bookmarks and tabs from multiple devices. It offers support for Google, Facebook, and UC accounts.

The new UC Browser 9.7 for Android is available in the Google Play store today, with support for all devices running under Android 2.2 and up.
