The fine folks at UCWeb have just announced that they have started testing the next version of UC Browser for Android.

Developers are now looking for testers willing to offer their feedback on UC Browser 9.1 for Android. Due to the fact that this is an unfinished product, users should expect bugs and sluggishness, but that’s the point of this private test process.

According to UC Web, the following new features will be included in the final version of UC Browser 9.1 for Android:

- Download in Background: support for downloading in background or exit the browser; - Web Page Preloading: support for preloading linked web pages in the background, like Google; - Web Browsing Security: get notified when a site you're browsing is known to be malicious or phishing sites; - Search Suggestion: show search suggestion when you search in Google search bar; - Memory Optimization: Optimize the mobile memory usage of the browser.

UC Browser 9.1 is now available as a free download via Softpedia and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
