UC Web has just launched a new update for its popular mobile browser for Android devices.

Although this is not a major release, we recommend users to update to the latest version, which is said to fix some of the browser’s issues.

According to developers, the latest update for UC Browser for Android solves a problem where some users could only download videos instead of playing them online.

It appears that many Android users reported frequent background crashes, which is why UC Web has included a bug fix that greatly reduces the number of crashes. However, we hope these issues will be solved in the next release.

The new UC Browser 8.5.2 is now available as a free download via Softpedia and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
