14 DAY TRIAL // A new flavor of the Twitter application is now available for download for the owners of BlackBerry smartphones, namely version 4.1.
The new app release comes with support for all smartphones that run under BlackBerry OS 5 or higher, and can be already found in the BlackBerry World (though it might need up to 24 hours to show as available in some markets).
The new application release arrives on devices with additional tools to allow users to stay connected with the micro-blogging website, as well as with various improvements for the sign up process.
Furthermore, the new Twitter 4.1 for BlackBerry smartphones packs enhancements to notifications and various tweaks brought to Profiles.

- Better notification support – The option to activate notifications for Retweets, Favorited tweets and new followers, means you’re fully in control of your Twittersphere.
The availability of this software update shows that BlackBerry is set to continue supporting users with older smartphones, although not by delivering platform upgrades to them.
Even so, the release of updates for popular applications should sound like a good deal to many, especially when it comes to those who live busy social lives on their smartphones.
