A new beta for Trillian (Windows) is currently available for download. The fresh revision introduces various improvements as far as group chat is concerned, as well as SSL.
Trillian 5.3 beta brings to the table important modifications, such as the possibility to save chats to contact list, join them or stay in the chat rooms even when closing the window.
However, a more interesting feature is
Trillian group chats, which are designed to keep a team connected by backing up conversations in the cloud and making them available to any team member, in order to catch up on the conversation.
SSL improvements in this release refer to certificate validation. Root certificate authorities trusted by Trillian are packed in a text file that can be configured by the user. When communicating with servers with self-signed or invalid certificates, the application will have you informed.
