The well-known P2P file sharing client Transmission has been updated this week with a slew of tweaks and fixes, including one minor change for Macintosh customers.

Changes to be noticed by users on all platforms include better error logging when user-provided scripts can't be executed, a tweak to the “Time Remaining” property (which wasn't set for torrents with webseeds but no peers), and fix for a rare error that created a directory name “$HOME.”

On the Mac, the Transmission team managed to isolate and address a bug that caused the software to crash on non-English localizations.

In usual manner, the Transmission 2.76 changelog mentions changes for the GTK+ Client, the Qt Client, Daemon tweaks, and a fix for the Web client. A CLI fix is also documented: “If the Download directory doesn't exist, try to create it instead of exiting.”
