Owners of Android-based devices can now download a new flavor of a popular file manager for them, namely Total Commander.

The application was released late last week as version 2.01, and brings along a variety of enhancements, including support for drag and drop.

Furthermore, the mobile application packs a Streaming Media Player (needs plugin update), and also comes with improved support for rooted devices.

Many of the features and capabilities that the app was launched with on Windows-based computers have been ported to Android too, including built-in text editor, zip and unzip, Copy and Move whole subdirs, and more.

The app was made available for download with support for all handsets and tablets running under Android 1.5 or newer OS flavors and also comes with features specific to the use on mobile phones. It can be downloaded from Softpedia via this link.
