Titanfall is going to receive its long-awaited game patch #6 later today, September 2, on the PC and the Xbox One platforms, bringing quite a lot of new features, including a Pilot Skirmish game mode.

Titanfall has been around for quite some time, delivering a pretty stellar multiplayer-only first-person shooter experience on the PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms worldwide.

Since its release, developer Respawn Entertainment has rolled out quite a lot of different updates designed to enhance the shooter experience and make sure that players are sticking close to the game, instead of abandoning it for another title.

As such, in the last few months, different game modes and quite a lot of bonus features, such as titan customization, have been added to Titanfall.

Now, the next big update, patch #6, is set to go live on the PC and Xbox One platforms later today, September 2, according to an announcement made by Respawn on Twitter.

In case you forgot, the new patch brings forth lots of great features, including a Pilot Skirmish game mode that's now the new featured experience, replacing Marked for Death, which is now its own standalone experience.

"Pilot Skirmish is an 8v8 mode with no AI and no Titans. Due to the difference in player sizes with the rest of the game modes, Pilot Skirmish will not be among the game modes played when choosing Variety Pack playlist," Respawn explained on its website.

"When we first introduced Marked For Death, we were planning to rotate it out for another mode after a couple of weeks, but the enduring popularity of the mode convinced us to bring it on full-time. There will now be a Marked For Death playlist to choose from, along with custom Marked For Death loadouts to unlock."

Besides the new features, a lot of extra options for colorblind players, as well as new sections in the burn card black market have been added.

A series of improvements for various gameplay mechanics are also set to be a part of game update #6, alongside many different bug fixes that should make the whole game much more stable and impressive.

Chief among them is a new game joining system. If a match is already underway past its halfway mark, a player who joins at that time will no longer get the loss counted, if he's dropped into the losing team. If his team wins, then the win will be counted to his score.

Considering past releases, expect Titanfall patch #6 to appear for the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall in a few weeks.
