Robert Shingledecker announced earlier today, April 20th, the immediate availability for download and testing of the Tiny Core Linux 4.5 RC2 and Tiny Core Plus Linux 4.5 RC2 operating systems.

Tiny Core 4.5 RC2 comes with an updated Apps GUI "load local" in order to be more consistent and to show only loadable and eligible extensions.

wbarconf was also updated in this release to support even more options and to reload the GUI from .wbarconf. Moreover, /usr/local/lib/modules/3.0.21-tinycore/kernel was added to prevent harmless message if depmod is executed without any extension.

Last but not least, tc-config was updated to allow PXE booting and alternate user.

Download Tiny Core Linux 4.5 RC2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
