If you’re looking for a new software solution to replace the built-in Weather app, you may want to have a look at The Weather Channel, a freeware tool available in the Windows Store.
The Weather Channel has been around for a while, so plenty of users have already downloaded it, even though it doesn’t provide as many features as AccuWeather, for example.
Still, it’s a good choice if you wish to get the weather conditions right on your Start Screen, with the app also providing dedicated features to show an extended forecast for multiple locations.
The latest version also displays rain and snow event alerts on the Start Screen, while weather information now includes past details and almanac data.
