No more leaving your device running for long crafting times

Majic Jungle Software has released a feature-packed update for players of The Blockheads, a Minecraft-inspired platformer for iPhone and iPad. The update lets time pass when you exit, improves lag/pausing issues, and adds a lot of new stuff.

A widely requested feature, you no longer need to leave your device running when long crafting is involved. Simply instruct a blockhead to craft 10 ingots, exit the app, come back after the allotted time and the work is done, says the developer.

“When you exit, time will continue for each blockhead until all queued actions and crafting are completed, or they get too exhausted.”

“Watch out though, while blockheads are busy they will get tired and hungry as usual, and they can even suffer damage,” explains Majic Jungle Software.

Players can now warp in up to four blockheads which now cost less food and time crystals. You can find some fish in the sea now. To catch them, craft a fishing rod. But you’ll need to watch out for sharks. Take the good with the bad.

You can create tin foil by upgrading your press with bronze. Use it to roast fish on the campfire. A tin foil hat can also be created, and you can eat kelp while swimming to get boosts of fresh air.

And it doesn’t end here. A truckload of tweaks and bug fixes are also included in this release. Visit the official changelog to review all the latest changes. For example, your blockhead’s clothing will now degrade much slower and at different rates depending on what he / she is doing.

The Blockheads requires iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) or iPad, and iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. Download The Blockheads iOS (Free)
