The industrious developer couple at Imangi Studios have released an updated version of their new running game Temple Run 2, improving performance on old-generation devices and adding new features, tweaks, and fixes.

Temple Run 2 version 1.0.1 arrives with “improved performance on older devices,” meaning players on iPhone 3GS and third-generation iPod touch devices should have a smoother gameplay experience. The same goes for owners of the original iPad.

The update further adds the ability to skip the “Save Me” screen and includes a new leaderboard High Score, and no “Save Me.”

Several bugs are addressed, such as one involving track pop-in, one involving lifetime stats, and another which caused the same objective to be shown twice. A crash-on-launch bug is also addressed. Various other bug fixes and minor improvements are included as well.
