TRENDnet has just released a new firmware for its TEW-812DRU, AC1750 dual-band wireless router. Version 1.0.10.0 comes with security updates and enables the NAT loopback feature.

The manufacturer advises users willing to have the new firmware on their devices not to update through a wireless connection as it may damage the product. Instead, one must use the wired network connection.

Installing the new release is fairly simple. All you need to do is download the archive from the link below and extract it on your PC. Open a browser and, in the address bar, go to the router’s configuration page. The default IP is 192.168.10.1.

After you've logged in, go to the “administrator” section and select the “Upload Firmware” option. Browse for the recently extracted .bin file and click the “Apply” button.

The update will now be flashed to your router and the device will reboot. If all goes well, you now have firmware version 1.0.10.0.

Below is the link to the new release. Download it, install it and stay “updated one minute ago.”
