An updated iteration of the Swype application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices out there, namely version 1.6.5.

The new app release comes to devices with important performance improvements for tap input, lengthy text entries (e.g. emails), text deletion, and cursor placement.

Furthermore, the update brings along a variety of bug fixes, including one for an issue where the enter key in some versions of the Samsung email app didn’t work properly.

Moreover, the app resolves problems with UI rendering in Android KitKat (4.4), along with a bug in the LG G2 email app that would result in duplicated letters, and a series of crashes reported by users.

You can download Swype for Android 1.6.5.23769 from Softpedia today. The application is compatible with all devices running under Android 2.2 and newer platform versions.
