Kiloo has announced another update to its widely popular endless running game, Subway Surfers, which continues its world tour with a stop in Rome, Italy. Players will be able to add another character to their list of runners, Roberto, the Italian scooter kid.

Players who download Subway Surfers 1.22.0 on their iPhones or iPads will end up in Rome as the latest pit stop in the Subway Surfers World Tour and race the subways with “Roberto, the Italian scooter kid.”

As usual, runners must reach certain goals in order to win Spray Can Awards, search for colorful eggs in the Weekly Hunts (to win even more prizes), and try on new outfits for Roberto and Zoe.

Still localized in English only, Subway Surfers requires iOS 5.0 and works with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad second generation, iPad third generation, iPad fourth generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, iPod touch fourth generation, and iPod touch fifth generation.

The game is a free download for all users but may require in-app purchases for additional features. It then goes without saying that if you hand your iDevice over to the kids, it might be wise to switch off in-app purchases in the iOS settings panel.
