Blizzard Entertainment has launched version 1.3.3 of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty for Mac OS X. The patch features adjustments to race balance, as well as various other enhancements and bug fixes.

One of the first documented changes is related to the default hotkey to toggle in-game music on/off. It has been reverted to its hotkey prior to Patch 1.3.0, says the development team at Blizzard.

As a result of this change, the hotkey to display APM in the observer stat panel has also been changed.

Balance changes are listed across all races - Protoss, Terran, Zerg. Some of the most noteworthy ones are:

PROTOSS: Archon - Range increased from 2 to 3; Cybernetics Core - Research Warp Gate time increased from 140 to 160; Gateway - Sentry train time decreased from 42 to 37.

TERRAN: Bunker - Salvage resource return reduced from 100% to 75%; Ghost - Cost changed from 150/150 to 200/100; Thor - Thor now has 200 max energy, and starts with 50 energy.

ZERG: Infestor - Speed decreased from 2.5 to 2.25; Spore Crawler; Root time decreased from 12 to 6.

StarCraft II Patch 1.3.3 also fixes tons of issues, all documented on the Battle.net forums.

Blizzard say its software engineering team has been able to isolate and fix an issue where Ghosts could not quickly EMP the same location, as well as a bug that caused players to stack air units when issuing a queued stop command before the units reached the end of their patrol point.

An error where unplugging a USB headset while another player was talking could cause a crash before. This problem has been addressed as well.

Issues where the APM statistic could be artificially increased, or where 3D unit portraits were not animating smoothly at slow game speeds, have been dealt with according to Blizzard.

Also, gamers reported that when viewing a replay, no text message was displayed when a player left a game. Patch 1.3.3 should help alleviate this problem.

Finally, the Taiwanese hotkey to display/hide the game UI while in Observer mode now works correctly, according to the developers.
