Spotify has finally released the major update that all Windows Phone users have been waiting for. The company promised a few months ago that it would bring the much-requested Radio, Browse and Discover features on Windows Phone, but it did not offer more details on the exact release date.

Well, it appears that the time has finally come for Windows Phone users to enjoy the new features promised by Spotify, as the new update that’s just been released onto Windows Phone Store brings these new capabilities and more.

The first thing that someone that has used Spotify before will notice is the new design. According to the developers, the application for Windows Phone devices has been completely redesigned, so that it can offer a fresh, clear, and fast way to find the music that users love.

But that is not all. One of the most requested features has finally arrived on Spotify for Windows Phone, Radio. With it, users will be able to pick a track, artist or album and the application will find similar music.

This means that you will be able to listen to your favorite music on the radio. As developers put it, “it’s like having your own personal radio station.”

Spotify 3.0 includes even more new features that will certainly appeal Windows Phone users. For example, the major update that is now being rolled out worldwide brings the new Discover feature, which allows users to find and explore new music with personalized recommendations.

You can also browse top playlists in Browse tab in order to find what interests you most. Both Discover and Browse features were promised back in February, but it took Spotify almost 3 months to fulfil this promise.

Now that we have listed the good stuff that comes in the latest Spotify update, let’s see if there are any downsides to updating to this version.

Well, it appears that Spotify has confirmed that there are known issues with Facebook two-factor authentication. No additional details are provided about these problems, but developers claim that these issues will be fixed in a future update.

We will keep an eye out for any new info regarding future updates for Spotify and will let you know, so stay tuned for more on this matter.

You can now download Spotify for Windows Phone 3.0 for free via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8 and up.
