Bethesda lived up to its promise and has just deployed the third patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, taking it to version 1.3, and fixing quite a lot of issues that appeared after last week’s update 1.2.

Millions of gamers were delighted with Skyrim, despite its sometimes hilarious glitches, but patch 1.2 practically broke the game on the PC, bringing new issues, some funny, like the backwards flying dragons, while others were more serious, like the missing resistances.

Now, after promising that a new update will be released as soon as possible, Bethesda has just deployed Skyrim patch 1.3.

Among the key highlights are general stability fixes, but also improvements to the animation of dragons which, hopefully, won’t be flying backwards after this patch. Check out the rest of the things included in the new update below:

-General stability improvements
-Optimize performance for Core 2 Duo CPUs
-Fixed Radiant Story incorrectly filling certain roles
-Fixed magic resistances not calculating properly
-Fixed issue with placing books on bookshelves inside player purchased homes
-Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading
-Fixed Y-look input to scale correctly with framerate

Skyrim patch 1.3 will be automatically downloaded by Steam when you’re connected to the Internet and is expected to arrive on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this week.

This update is nice, but it's been too long since we've had a good bandit raid.

I'm guessing by books they mean the ogmah infinium cheat? Great, prevent cheaters before the performance issues... Nice.

Shouldn`t the patches repair something, instead of adding more crashes???
