Microsoft has released a new version of its popular video chatting client for Mac OS X customers, delivering what is likely to be a bug-fix release for people experiencing issues with Skype.

Skype 6.9.0.517 was released earlier today and, while the download has been available for quite some time, there are still no release notes in sight.

Since Microsoft hasn’t pulled the update, I figured it was a solid release and so you’re entitled to know about it. If you’re having problems with Skype on your Mac, try installing this update to see if it fixes your woes.

On the iOS front things remain unchanged, which means users are pretty happy. As usual, you’ll find both the Mac and the iOS versions of Skype at the links below.
