Skype 6.4.60.833 is out for Mac users with a ton of fixes and enhancements, as well as a bunch of new features that make it easier and more fun to use the video-chatting app.

New features and improvements in the new Skype for Mac include infinite chat scrolling, an improved “find” feature from a chat conversation, improved file transfers, better handling of contacts (when sending or receiving contacts), and support for Simplified Chinese.

Numerous fixes are included as well. For example, it’s now easier to add a new number to any existing contact, and the file transfer window shows the correct received size.

In the preferences pane, you can now switch speakers during the incoming call. A random crash when waking from sleep has been addressed, and the dial pad animation in the calling toolbar now displays properly. Other changes are listed below.

- Profile: You can add “Apply an effect” when editing display picture. - Screen sharing: Picture-in-Picture for screen sharing will appear in case switching to the Contacts list. - Skype Home: Disabling animated emoticons from Preferences will also take effect in the Skype Home view. - Calling: You can use firewire device for Skype video call.
