Skype Communications S.a.r.l has released an updated version of its iPad client addressing bugs that hinder the app’s functionality when people on the other end of the line use an iPhone 5.

Although the update is for the iPad version of Skype, the developers note that version 4.1.1 has been released to fix a bunch of “iPhone 5 and iOS 6 calling and video issues.”

In other words, call recipients using the new iPhone are causing a bit of disruption. The same seems to go for the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 6.

While Skype is yet to confirm whether everything is back to normal, you can download the new iPad client at the link below. Even though it’s compatible with iOS 6 now, it only requires iOS 4.3 to run on your Apple tablet.
