A new flavor of the Silence application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based smartphones, providing them with a nice range of new features and enhancements, namely version 2.0.1.
The application saw a major overhaul only a few days ago, in the form of version 2.0, with the new iteration landing on smartphones with a series of minor bug fixes for certain events that were not working.
The software sports a brand new look and feel, while also offering support for repeating events "until" a certain date.
Furthermore, it now offers the possibility to toggle notification, media, and alarm volumes, in addition to ringer, while also providing the option to set specific volume levels for each sound toggle.
One great addition to the app’s features list is the integration with Google Calendar events, which is complemented by a beta version of an option to toggle mobile data on the users’ devices.
However, it seems that this last capability, along with Google Calendar events integration and notifications volume toggle, is available only for certain devices and only in specific markets.
For those out of the loop, we should note that the application was designed to enable users to easily toggle sound and system settings over set intervals of time.
“With this app, never again will you have to worry about silencing your phone during that important meeting, or even missing calls and texts later in the day because you forgot to turn the volume back up,” the app’s description reads.
“Simply put in your schedule, choose your toggles, and forget about it. Let us do all the work for you,” said description continues.
In addition to access to the sound settings, the app also provides users with the possibility to turn Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data, and airplane mode on and off on an Android smartphone. It will also change settings back automatically when the scheduled event ends.
