Shazam Player is now available on the iPad, thanks to a recent update from Shazam Entertainment Ltd. who was eager to enhance the service for tablet use.

Shazam Player lets you see streaming lyrics, watch YouTube videos and read reviews of your favorite tracks and artists. It also makes it easy to find tour dates for the bands and artists you love, it displays your iTunes playlists, and it offers the ability to create new playlists on the fly.

Shazam Entertainment Ltd. says that version 1.5.1 is not only optimized for the iPad, it also features Retina display graphics, and offers the ability to view LyricPlay on the big screen with AirPlay and Apple TV. Shazam Player 1.5.1 also features cool visualization for non-LyricPlay tracks.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Shazam Player requires iOS 4.2 or later.
