Roku Inc. today offers version 3.0.0 of its iOS app featuring a new user interface, a new search feature, the ability to control Roku players on a network, and more.

Roku version 3.0.0 gets a fresh design which not only looks better but is also much easier to use. Navigation has never been easier.

You can now search on your iPhone, a feature currently limited to US-based Roku players firmware 5.4 or later. It’s also not supported on Roku 2450x or 2500x.

The developers say you can “Enter a movie, show, actor, or director and explore the results. When you settle on something to watch, choose from the available services and jump right into the Channel, ready to watch.”

Finally, thanks to this new update, you can now control any Roku player on your network and access content.

Roku explains: “Connect to any Roku player on your network to control it, or play photos, music, or video with Play on Roku. Log into your Roku account to browse the channel store or add, remove, and rate channels.”

Rounding up the 3.0.0 update are some minor bug fixes and other enhancements. For those of you who are having trouble with the app, updating should be a no-brainer now. Download Roku 3.0.0 and enjoy!
