Roku, the app that lets you turn your iOS device into a control center for your streaming player, has been updated with new features, such as a standard remote control with “D pad” buttons and shortcuts for Netflix, Pandora and Crackle.

The Roku iOS app lets you launch channels, use your phone as a remote and find new channels to watch.

Version 1.1.0 adds the aforementioned standard remote control with “D pad” buttons and shortcuts for Netflix, Pandora and Crackle, and offers the ability to toggle between standard and swipe remotes in app settings.

The updated app improves device discovery in setup for some users. The people at Rocku Inc. say that if you still have trouble finding your Roku player, you can try turning on/off Wi-Fi on your iOS device.

Other enhancements include improved loading time of Home (installed channels) tab, and a new shortcut to switch accounts.
