14 DAY TRIAL // The Rights Management Services Administration Toolkit with SP2 is designed to complement the Windows Rights Management Services with Service Pack 2 that Microsoft made available back in November 2006.
According to Microsoft, the RMS SP2 Administration Toolkit is designed to deliver additional programs developed in parallel with RMS SP2. Although the RMS SP2 Administration Toolkit is a collateral product of the creation of RMS SP2, it has not been included in the Windows Rights Management Services. Moreover, while the RMS SP2 Administration Toolkit has been tested extensively to ensure seamless integration with RMS SP2, Microsoft will not provide technical support for the toolkit.
"We found them useful in making sure that the server was working as intended and allowed us to quickly and easily make modifications and get information about the system," is Microsoft's argument for releasing the toolkit, even if the product is not supported.
The RMS SP2 Administration Toolkit is designed to run on a RMS Client or Server and comes with support for Windows 2000; Windows Server 2003; Windows Server 2003 x64 editions; Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition for Itanium-based Systems; Windows XP; Windows XP 64-bit.
The RMS SP2 Administration Toolkit includes the following tools:
