The awesome Quicksilver Mac utility for power users has received one major update today, bringing a great deal of new features and improvements, as well as a ton of fixes.

According to the release notes, one of the new features in Quicksilver 1.2.0 Build 4008 is the ability to recognize text ending with / as a URL.

“Entering qsapp/ will be expanded to http://www.qsapp.com/. This emulates the behavior of Safari 6's address bar,” the developer explains.

Users will notice that modifier-only activation is more reliable now. Additionally, when you use it with “Secure Keyboard Entry” enabled, it works in password fields and Terminal.

When the app fails to move or copy files, more details will be provided. Incomplete downloads from Opera will be ignored when the latest download is identified.

Numerous other changes and bug fixes are noted in the changelog, including some updates for developers. Download Quicksilver 1.2.0 today.
