QuarkXPress 18.104.22.168 is now out for OS X v. 10.8 Mountain Lion with a compatibility fix for Gatekeeper, the security module in Apple’s Mac operating system.
A layout editor that provides tools for creating professional publishing materials, QuarkXPress can spit out content that can be viewed on tablets, e-readers and pretty much any device that supports PSD, XLS, XLSX, AI, DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, XTAGS, EPS, GIF, JPG, PDF, PNG, PostScript, TIFF, SWF, AVI, FLV, MOV, MP3, and SWF formats.
The latest version includes an installer/updater that works with the OS X Mountain Lion’s Gatekeeper feature. According to Quark Inc., this release is not compatible with QPS 9.2.
The software currently requires at least Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) to run, but also supports Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), OS X 10.7.x (Lion), and OS X 10.8.x (Mountain Lion).
Hardware requirements include an Intel processor, 1GB of RAM (2GB recommended for better performance) and about 2GB of free hard disk space. QuarkXPress 22.214.171.124 is a free update for all existing users of the application.Download QuarkXPress 126.96.36.199 OS X
