The ProShot application for Windows Phone 8 devices has just received an update, currently up for grabs as version 2.6.5, and can provide users with an appealing set of enhancements, it seems.

According to the app’s release notes, users will benefit from an impressive performance boost, though it all depends on image settings (contrast & saturation = 0 is the fastest).

The new app release also brings back EXIF, and offers full-resolution HD browsing of photos in camera roll (higher res than system's photo album).

There are also a series of Live tile improvements and bug fixes, along with an option to disable slideshow, manual focus enhancements, and some bug fixes.

ProShot 2.6.5 also removes manual white balance option from Nokia devices, given that the hardware does not support it. The app can be found on this page, priced at $1.99.
