Opera has just announced that its mobile browser for Android and Symbian S60 devices has just been updated to offer users an improved, bug-free browsing experience.

Each version of the mobile browser have received a maintenance update that fixes lots of bugs and addresses several issues that have been previously reported by users.

In addition, the updates improve the overall performance and stability of the application, on both mobile platforms.

The latest update for Opera Mobile 12 brings Android users the following changes:

- Fixed problems with lags and freezes while URL loading on some devices; - Fixed problem with urlfilter.ini blocking pages loading; - Fixed problem with SVG set as the background rendering; - Overall stabilization fixes.

However, a minor known issue is still present in this version, which might be addressed in a future update. It appears that there are wrong colors on camera preview on Galaxy Spica smartphones.

Opera Mobile 12.0.1 for Android is now available as a free download from Softpedia or Google Play and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.6 and up.

The Symbian iteration of the mobile browser has been updated as well. However, the application still has some known issues that, hopefully, will be corrected in the future.

The following changes have been included with the latest Opera Mobile for Symbian S60 devices:

- Fixed crash when logging into Twitter; - Fixed bug with web forms auto-submission; - Fixed HTML5 audio/video tags; - Improved performance of zooming animations and general responsiveness during page loading; - Fixed a number of startup/shutdown crashes; - Changes for font size in opera:config can now be saved (the rest works already).

Opera Mobile 12.0.1 for Symbian S60 is now available as a free download from Softpedia and it should be fully compatible with all Symbian S60 2nd/3rd/5th Edition or Symbian^3.
