Download Opera Mini 6.0.1 for iPhone, iPad

Opera Mini for iPhone and iPad has been updated to version 6.0.1 with improvements to the YouTube integration, the addition of Opera Mobile Store to Speed Dial, and more.

“Keep Opera Mini handy on your iOS device, especially for those unavoidable times you are on a slow crowded network, away from Wi-Fi or when data roaming,” the Norwegian software company adds.

Arguably the best application of its kind in the iOS App Store, Opera Mini is designed for both iPhone and iPad, meaning that users of both gadgets only need to download once and install the same app on both their devices.

On the iPad, it boasts a large interface with more functions at hand. On the iPhone and iPod touch, it offers pretty much the same set of features, including Speed Dial, and page compression before downloading, so that everything loads lightning fast.

In version 6.0.1, the following improvements have been made:

· Improved YouTube video integration
· Added single column view
· Added Opera Mobile Store icon to Speed Dial list
· Fixed various font-related issues
· Fixed various stability issues
· General bug fixes and improvement

Opera Software says its web browser offers up to 6 times faster browsing than competitive applications, especially when on slower or crowded networks.

Unlike Safari, Opera lets you see all your open web pages in ‘visual tabs’ which users can quickly switch between.

The mobile implementation features Opera Link, just like the desktop version of the web browser.

Link allows you to synchronize your bookmarks and Speed Dial with your Mac or desktop PC, or any other mobile device that supports Opera Mini.

Opera Mini 6.0.1 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 3.0 or later.
