Opera Software released its beta mobile browser for Android about a month ago and included lots of new features and improvements. Among these, Chromium version 32 and new tablet UI were some of the most important new features included in Opera Browser Beta for Android.

Today, the developer has announced that its stable version of Opera Browser for Android has received similar improvements via a new update that’s now available for download on Google Play Store.

The latest version of Opera Browser comes with the new Chromium 32, which was included in the beta iteration a month ago.

An additional feature has also been included in history view. Users will now be able to long press on an item to delete an entry.

In addition, some already present features have been improved such as the Discover and History manager functions. Some issues have been addressed as well, including one that was affecting devices powered by Android 4.4.x KitKat.

Thus, Opera Software has confirmed that its engineers have managed to fix bitmap corruption on Android 4.4 KitKat. Moreover, the behavior of the action bar when in fullscreen mode has been fixed as well.

Another issue addressed by developers and listed in the official changelog is aimed at Motorola XOOM users. Apparently, there was an issue with the introduction pages for this tablet, but now it’s been fixed and users should not experience problems anymore.

Opera has confirmed that the newest version of its stable mobile browser features enhanced stability and slightly better overall performance. The following fixes have been implemented as well:

Discover - No more missing images.

History - Two-column layout history view is now fixed, and will not blank out when removing an item from a big list; - Scroll position is now remembered in tablet history view; - Expanded history items will now be remembered per tab.

Speed Dial - Speed Dial screen will now scroll up every time you open the Tab Bar; - Speed Dial items will not be included in omnibar suggestions.

You can now download Opera Browser for Android 19 for free via Softpedia. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
