RC in the rough, plenty of issues still reported by testers

Well, that was fast. Opera just launched the release candidate for version 11.60, codenamed “Tunny,” which may also be the stable release of the browser, if no showstoppers occur.

All non-critical issues in this release will be addressed in the next Wahoo snapshot (Opera Next) and then shuttled in a new build of version 11.60.

Notable changes in this RC include removal of the native skin so that the standard one receives more attention. Although there are no Core fixes, this release attends to visual and minor issues such as URL not being displayed in address field search if the list is too long or master password dialog not receiving cursor focus when clicking the “password” button. More serious problems were also addressed, like a crash related to mouse gestures usage.

A few other RC releases are very likely to occur, as testers report scroll lags on certain sites and even huge resource usage.
