Opera Software proudly announced a few hours ago the immediate availability of the new, improved and highly anticipated Opera 11.60 web browser for Linux, Macintosh and Windows platforms.

Opera 11.60 brings a revamped URL address field, which offers search suggestions, easy website bookmarking through the star shortcut in the address bar and ability to list website results faster than before.

A significantly improved browser engine (Opera Presto 2.10 rendering engine) has been implemented in Opera 11.60, providing a more stable and faster web browsing experience.

Opera 11.60 also features a redesigned user interface for the popular Opera Mail built-in client, providing two-lined message list, mail grouping, new settings dialogs, and pinning.

Last but not least, Opera 11.60 brings support for HTML5, ECMAScript 5.1, XMLHttpRequest Level 2, radial-gradient and repeated-radial-gradient in CSS3, font-relative length rem in CSS3 and SVG, CSS4, and Google's new geolocation JSON API.

There are also lots and lots of fixes in various areas, including GTK+ 3.2 and GNOME 3.2 related fixes, so make sure you read the entire changelog.
