A new Beta development snapshot of the next iteration of Opera is now available for download, having been released to testers at the end of the past week. Early adopters can start running Opera 10.60 Beta Build 3413 in testing environments. The release is designed to introduce various bug fixes, as Opera Software hammers away at the successor of Opera 10.50.

“Thank you for installing Opera 10.60 beta. As we put the finishing touches on the latest version of Opera, experience the new features and improvements that we have in store,” is the welcome message presented to testers after they install Opera 10.60 Beta Build 3413.

Testers should not expect to see major changes compared with the previous Beta release of Opera 10.60. Still, the Norway-based browser maker has dealt with a number of issues that were identified in older development snapshots. “This build contains quite a few fixes. Various crashes have been fixed, as well as some Dragonfly and scope protocol issues. We've also been working on some RTL/BiDi things,” a member of the Opera Desktop team notes.

Testers running Linux should now be able to enjoy JavaScript content again while taking the latest Beta Build of Opera 10.60 out for a spin. At the same time, as of this morning, Opera Software updated the Beta Build for Mac OS X users.

“We've also added the ability to show suggestions in the search field. You can try it with Wikipedia and Yandex for now. The address bar and find bar have also received a few fixes. You will notice that the search field in the page find toolbar flashes red when there are no matches, for example. Single-domain intranet servers will now be stored in Opera's preferences rather than relying on the typed history,” the Opera Desktop team representative adds.
