A new flavor of the OpenWhatsapp application is now available for download for the owners of BlackBerry devices out there, namely version 0.9.6, meant to add a new feature to the package, and also to resolve one of the issues that users have been plagued with.

Following the update, BlackBerry users will be able to set a pin lock for OpenWhatsapp, it seems. Furthermore, they will no longer see the sending media problem emerge in the app.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the application brings along all the features that the official WhatsApp software has to offer, while also adding some extra capabilities.

It enables users to keep in touch with their friends, share media, update profile pictures and statuses, and more.

OpenWhatsapp 0.9.6 for BlackBerry can be downloaded from Softpedia as well, via this link.
