One of the applications that have received an update on Windows Phone devices today is OneDrive, the mobile client that will keep users connected to Microsoft’s cloud storage service at all time (and which was previously known under the name of SkyDrive).

The new flavor of OneDrive has been released with a series of bug fixes packed inside, but it should also be able to provide users with better performance capabilities, the available release notes unveil.

The application comes with support for Windows Phone 8.1, Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 7.5, which means that it is actually compatible with all handsets running under Microsoft’s mobile operating system.

For those out of the loop, we should note that OneDrive has been designed to enable users to easily store and backup their files into the cloud, including photos, videos, documents, and more.

At the same time, OneDrive offers fast access to these files at all times and also allows users to share files with their friends. Any content saved on OneDrive is accessible from the PC, Mac, tablet, and phone.

OneDrive for Windows Phone also offers support for creating new files in the cloud, renaming existing ones, deleting them, copying them, and the like.
