The default mail client and web browser of Ubuntu OS

Mozilla officially released today, December 21st, both Mozilla Firefox 9.0 web browser and Thunderbird 9.0 email client, for all supported platforms.

The Mozilla Firefox 9.0 web browser brings improved JavaScript performance, HTML5, CSS and MathML improvements, font-stretch support, and text-overflow support.

The Mozilla Thunderbird 9.0 email client brings improved keyboard handling for attachments, user interface improvements and fixes.

Linux users can download the new releases of Firefox and Thunderbird for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, supporting most of the existing distributions.

In the upcoming days, Canonical should also update its Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) operating system with the new Mozilla Firefox 9.0 web browser and Mozilla Thunderbird 9.0 email client.
