Following a widely reported server breach, Apple has started rolling out new beta software for developers, beginning with a new test build of OS X Mountain Lion version 10.8.5

OS X 10.8.5 build 12F26 comes about a week after the last seed and includes the same focus areas as before, with no known issues to give testers any headaches.

According to those who’ve seen the software, people enrolled with Apple’s developer program are asked to focus their coding efforts on Wi-Fi, Graphics, Wake from Sleep, PDF Viewing and Accessibility, and Mobile Device Management.

The new build cannot be downloaded through the Apple Dev Center as the portal is still down, despite Apple’s making progress in restoring the site. Developers looking to grab the new beta will have to do so via the Mac App Store, by incrementing an existing beta on their test Mac.
