A new beta of OS X Mavericks (build 13A510d) is now available for download from the Mac Dev Center on Apple’s site. The seed note includes changes from previous builds, as well as several known issues.

In the download invitation sent by email to developers, Apple states, “Take advantage of new features, like APIs that optimize the new energy saving technologies in OS X Mavericks, as well as new AV Kit frameworks, Sprite Kit, Map Kit, and many powerful additions to existing frameworks.”

The company informs testers and programmers that OS X Mavericks DP3 can be downloaded as an update from the Mac App Store on any system that is already running a beta of OS X 10.9. Newcomers can redeem a download code from the Mac Dev Center.

Before you download OS X Mavericks from the Mac App Store you need to make sure you’re using a 64-bit, Intel-based Mac running at least OS X 10.6.7 Snow Leopard.

At least 8GB of free disk space is required to install OS X 10.9, while Xcode 5 Developer Preview is required to code apps for Mavericks.

Developers who’ve already finished an app for OS X 10.9 will have to refrain themselves from submitting the software to the App Store until Mavericks gets close to its public rollout.

In the changelog accompanying OS X Mavericks DP3, Apple mentions a few tweaks in iCloud and iCloud Keychain, third-party application installation, and other (general) changes.

For instance, after installing Developer Preview 3, developers need to re-enable iCloud Keychain in the iCloud preferences pane.

Screen recordings made in Developer Preview 3 won’t work with earlier releases of OS X, and Aperture may unexpectedly close when exporting an image in full screen.
