Registered Apple developers have a new Mavericks beta to download with the same focus as before, including SMB2, Mail, Messages, and other key areas of the operating system.

Developers who already have the OS X Software Update Seed Configuration Utility installed can go ahead and choose "Software Update" from the Apple menu and download OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Build 13C48.

For those who don’t have the OS X Software Update Seed Configuration Utility installed, Apple offers instructions on how to obtain it the release notes accompanying every OS X beta.

According to people who are familiar with the software, the focus areas for build 13C48 are SMB2, Mail, Messages, Graphics Drivers, VoiceOver, and VPN. In other words, Apple has not changed the focus of the development.

As usual, the build is provided for testing and development purposes. Developers are asked to submit their bug reports using the online Bug Reporter at bugreporter.apple.com.
