Blizzard has just rolled out a brand new World of Warcraft patch, in the form of update 5.4.8, which brings a few improvements to the Druid and Rogue classes, but also tweaks to the Siege of Orgrimmar, a few items, and the user interface.

World of Warcraft is still going pretty strong in terms of popularity, especially since it retains the subscription requirement for active players, unlike other games that have gone free-to-play or are encountering quite a few problems with the membership system.

Blizzard has just rolled out a fresh update for World of Warcraft, bringing forth patch 5.4.8 for the PC and Mac platforms, via the official website.

Quite a few big improvements are included in the update, starting with tweaks to the Druid and Rogue classes. First up, druids can no longer take advantage of movement speed bonus stacking when using the cat form and the stampeding shout abilities. Rogues can now employ burst of speed to remove movement-slowing effects even if they have another movement speed bonus like sprint. These bonuses won't stack, however.

The Siege of Orgrimmar event has also been tweaked, as General Nazgrim no longer calls in an additional wave of forces at 10% health on raid finder difficulty. Garrosh Hellscream has seen his berserker timer increase to 25 minutes, from the standard 18, on the raid finder difficulty.

Quite a few items have also been tweaked, starting with all the upgradable epic quality items introduced by patch 5.4, which can now be upgraded an additional two times.

Heirloom weapons given by Garrosh Hellscream have also been increased by eight levels in order to keep them competitive with other items.

Mistweaver Ai on the Timeless Isle can now sell Deeds of Valor tokens for 3,000 timeless coins, which award 100 Valor Points to players when used.

World of Warcraft fans who use UI add-ons should note that these things can no longer update certain variables in combat.

Last but not least, the Going to Need a Bigger Bag achievement has seen some tweaks, so check out below.

"Going to Need a Bigger Bag is now an account-wide achievement and items obtained by all characters on the account now contribute credit towards completion. This means the achievement can be completed by obtaining all the required items across multiple characters instead of having a single character obtain all the items needed."

The new update has already gone live and will be downloaded by the World of Warcraft launcher automatically.
