Zenimax Online Studios has just rolled out a brand new patch for The Elder Scrolls Online, bringing a series of improvements to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game, including solutions to many different bugs, broken quests, and more.

The Elder Scrolls Online was finally released at the beginning of the month for the PC and Mac platforms, and developer Zenimax Online Studios has gone to great lengths in order to keep the multiplayer experience enjoyable, even though it was forced to take it offline many times.

After a few blunders relating to the punishment of hackers and cheaters, Zenimax has just confirmed on its website that The Elder Scrolls Online has a new patch, in the form of update 1.0.6.

According to the developer, its priority was to fix different broken quests, not to mention issues in terms of the game's stability and its performance. The studio also promises to continue fighting against hackers, cheaters, gold spammers, and bots used by nefarious individuals.

In terms of game improvements, several major things have been added, like in the Alliance War, in which characters of different alliances could get assigned to the same campaign.

The combat has seen some tweaking, as did the dungeons and group encounters included in the MMO.

Quite a lot of different quests have had their level requirements lowered, including Shadow of Sancre TOR, Last Council of the Five, Messages across Tamriel, The Weight of Three Crowns, God of Schemes. Bear in mind, however, that the requirements to unlock the missions have been lowered, but the enemies and monsters featured by them have remained the same, so the quests aren't necessarily easier.

Different zones of the game's world have also been refined, as have been the quests found within them, including the Bangkorai, Deshaan, Glenumbra, Grahtwood, Reaper's March, Rivenspire, Shadowfen, Stonefalls, and The Rift.

Players who skip the tutorial will no longer be given items that can be deconstructed, while the cooldown for loot given by an overworld boss has been tweaked.

Different mechanic changes have also been made, as players are required to be level 10, at least, before creating a new guild. Issues with Mac clients of the game, freezes, and unwarranted CPU usages have also been fixed, alongside a glitch that caused certain objects to become invisible or go missing altogether.

The Elder Scrolls Online patch 1.0.6 is now available for download via the game's client on PC and Mac.
