A brand new update for Watch Dogs, Ubisoft's recent open world action game, has been released across all platforms, adding new features, such as the ability to reset gang hideouts or convoy missions, as well as improvements for the drinking games or the multiplayer modes.

Watch Dogs came out at the end of spring and delivered one of the most anticipated open world experiences of the year, with millions of fans flocking to Ubisoft's action adventure title. Unfortunately, the game was plagued by quite a few problems, particularly on the PC, where errors made it unplayable in some situations.

Ubisoft's patching process was also quite slow, making many fans to feel cheated and used.

Now, a fresh patch has just gone live to add a few new features, while fixing some known issues reported by players in the single-player campaign, according to the official forums.

First up, for players who completed the story, a new option is present to reset previously cleared gang hideouts, as well as the convoy missions they have already finished. The option should be found in the menu screen.

The Drinking Games activities have been overhauled to make them a bit more indulgent and easier by allowing for more room for error as well as tighter controls that should make failing less common.

"The Drinking Games were re-tuned based on community feedback. Increase round fail time by 20%. More time for player to finish. Increase button cycling time by 50%. More time between button switch. Increase player reticle radius by 25% in collect button mode. Allow easier button press succeeded on bad latency TV," the studio explains.

New features are also present in the multiplayer mode, as players can now hack their friends by selecting them from the grid. These cover regular hacks, but also tailing activities.

The CTOS Mobile challenge will no longer stop if a mobile player disconnects, as players on PC or consoles will be allowed to finish the activity and even get some notoriety points for doing so.

Last but not least, players with bad behavior as well as those who disconnect will be pooled in a separate matchmaking classification and paired with those who do the same, so that they can't ruin the fun of regular people.

Bugs relating to the poker minigame have been solved by the new patch.

The fresh Watch Dogs update is already available for download across all platforms, i.e. PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, in most territories. Asian fans will have to wait until August 26 to get their version of the patch.
