The new patch brings forth a wide array of changes

A brand new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update has appeared, with developer Valve opting to solve a few common crashes suffered by the multiplayer first-person shooter, while also tweaking maps like Mirage, Nuke, or Overpass.

CS:GO has been around for some time now, but in the last couple of years the shooter has reached new heights in terms of popularity, both with regular and professional players that compete in eSports tournaments.

A brand new patch is available for the shooter

The first few weeks of 2015 saw some pretty big updates appear for the game, and now a fresh patch is available for download, according to the official website.

Quite a few different tweaks are included in the update, starting with an adjustment to the radius at which incendiary grenades interact with smoke ones. In case you forgot, in CS:GO you can extinguish flames using a smoke grenade but the actual process wasn't exactly the most precise one.

Besides this change, the update also brings forth a variety of enhancements, including fixes for a frequent crash situation that happened when a new map was being loaded while the application was minimized.

Some weapons will no longer have a big impact on the CPU, while Chroma Case weapons have received some fresh flavor text that references not just the actual gear but also a few other things.

The user interface has been improved a bit, as loading screens will now display icons for maps that have item collections associated with them. A few other errors have also been eliminated, while the scoreboard and server graphic will obey HUD scale and position settings.

Some maps have also been tweaked

A few popular maps in CS:GO have also been tweaked, starting with Mirage, which no longer has a bug that allows a boosted player in Terrorist spawn to peek into the mid position. Peeking into palace from the CT side should be easier while the A bombsite no longer features a "strange boost."

The map should no longer allow an incendiary grenade on bombsite B ceiling beams to damage players on A site. Last but not least, Overpass has a new entrance into upper park from bombsite A, a new mid cover in A site, and a few other modifications.

Check out the official changelog below. The new patch is available for download via the Steam service.
