Minecraft has just received a brand new update, in the form of patch 1.5.1 which is now available as a pre-release download and brings quite a few performance improvements over last week's Redstone update 1.5.

Minecraft is a true global phenomenon, managing to delight millions upon millions of copies across platforms like PC, Xbox 360, or on mobile devices.

Now, after last week's Redstone update 1.5, developer Mojang has just released a brand new patch, which takes the game up to version 1.5.1.

The update, which is currently available as a pre-release download, fixes a variety of bugs and glitches, while improving performance over update 1.5, so the game should feel just like the previous 1.4.7 version, according to the studio.
