Riot Games has just rolled out a brand new patch for League of Legends, taking it to version 5.4, and bringing forth a few drastic changes to two champions that were affected by update 5.2's removal of the Deathfire Grasp item - Mordekaiser and Veigar.

League of Legends has been around for quite some time, and over the years, tens of millions of people have tried out the free-to-play experience. At the same time, developer Riot Games has implemented a wide variety of changes and modifications to the experience, in order to eliminate bugs, add new features, and keep things as balanced as possible.

League of Legends patch 5.4 is now available for download

Now, Riot confirms on its website that a brand new update, in the form of patch 5.4, is available for download for League of Legends. The main aspects of it relate to two champions, Mordekaiser and Veigar, who were affected by the removal of the Deathfire Grasp item when patch 5.2 came around.

According to Riot, a new item that adds +120 ability points will appear in a future update, but until then, both Mordekaiser and Veigar have received some modifications to make them more viable in certain situations.

Mordekaiser is a bit tankier while Veigar is more versatile

First up, Morderkaiser has received some changes to make him a bit tankier and more in line with the general design of a hulking, mace-wielding armored warrior. His Mace of Spaces ability costs less health to use, his Creeping Death gives him and his ally bonus movement speed, and the Children of the Grave ultimate interacts in a different way with enemies.

Veigar's Baleful Strike ability is now a skillshow that passes through the first target hit and stops at the second one. The range has been increased while the cooldown has been decreased. Dark Matter costs less mana and has a scaling cooldown, while Event Horizon has a small delay before being cast but compensates with a smaller mana cost and cooldown as well as bigger range. Primordial Burst has a fixed 125 mana cost, a shorter cooldown, and a better ratio.

Many other changes are also included in the League of Legends patch 5.4. You can now download it from the in-game client.
