Nvidia promised last week that a new GeForce driver would be launched this week and would be exclusively aimed at those who pre-ordered Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V.

In fact, the new driver should have been released on the game's launch day, but Nvidia has decided to bring it to fans one day earlier. Beginning today, those who own a GeForce graphics card will be able to download a new driver that should offer the best gaming experience for Grand Theft Auto V.

According to Nvidia, the new driver offers support for SLI Technology and Geforce Experience 1-click optimizations for Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V.

Furthermore, the new driver should now be up to date with the launch of the “world's fastest gaming GPU”: the GeForce GTX Titan X.

GeForce Nvidia driver version 350.12 is fully compatible with GeForce 400, 500, 600, 700 and 900 series.

The new driver also adds SLI profiles for some other games

Besides the fact that it should provide the best gaming experience for Grand Theft Auto V, the new driver also offers improved 5K x 3K monitor support. Also, Nvidia has added user interface prompts for when a configuration is not supported.

In addition, Nvidia Control Panel has been enabled to support 250 dpi, which is required for Windows 8.1 and tiled displays.

Support for OpenCL 1.2 has been added, along with improved gameplay performance on full-screen SLI configurations when Nvidia frame buffer capture using Shadowplay of GameStream is enabled on 4K or 5K displays.

Some updated SLI profiles have been implemented too for the following games: Assassin's Creed - Rogue (added SLI), Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! (added SLI), Project CARS (updated SLI), Victor Vran (added SLI).
